“What are you doing”

Duke’s cold voice instantly froze the place.

He openly expressed his disgust for them.

I was happy to see the Alicia faction, but it was uncomfortable for them to do this.

Perhaps intimidated by Duke’s appearance, they suddenly become frightened.

Where was all the bravado they had before

Just as one of them opened his mouth, a shout was heard from the school building.

 …What now

I turned my head toward the school building.

It was as if the quiet aquarium had suddenly turned into a noisy zoo.

In some ways, the school might be more organized if Liz Cather had brainwashed them.

“I wonder what is going on.”

“Mel will tell us the answer to that question!”

I muttered to myself, and Mel suddenly appeared.

I was surprised.

It was scary because she always appeared suddenly right in front of me.

Duke was accustomed to her behavior and didn’t change his expression at all.

Duke is a quintessential Duke.

“Yesterday’s Liz Cather brainwashing cancellation incident has caused the Alicia and Liz factions to fight beautifully all morning, and now the whole school is in chaos!”

Liz Cather’s brainwashing cancellation incident sounded like a terrible name.

Mel continued somewhat happily.

“The Liz faction has become overwhelmingly small, but there are still people who have made up their minds to follow Liz-sama’s idealism! You knew that was going to happen, didn’t you But then! I didn’t expect a militant army of radicals to be formed!”

“People who don’t belong to either side are the most annoying.”

I nodded at Duke’s comment.

Certainly, a group of extremists would be nothing but a nuisance to the nobles who were just here to study magic.

Besides, it would be troublesome if the Liz faction and the Alicia faction were to get into a full-scale conflict involving many people.

Duke may be from the Alicia faction, but he was still a prince of the Duelkis Kingdom.

He would want to keep things quiet here without endangering too many students….

Liz Cather’s feelings were set, but the hearts of her followers were disturbed.

“Speaking of which, what about Alan”

“I made sure he returned home.”

Mel proudly pointed a peace sign at me.

“So, does he still have feelings for Liz Cather”

“Well, I don’t think so because I heard that Liz went to the Williams’ house after that.”

“What for”

I was at Duke’s house yesterday and had no idea that Liz Cather had gone to the Williams’.

“I think she went to apologize.”

Duke answered on Mel’s behalf.

There were many reasons for Liz Cather to apologize to Alicia’s family.

But Alicia wouldn’t want that.

Besides, it would be quite a shock for her to see the pro-Alicia crowd making noise in the courtyard.

I wondered to myself if we had done something unnecessary.

“Gilles has nothing to worry about.”

Perhaps reading my expression, Duke ruffled my hair.

I was happy, but at the same time, I felt frustrated with myself.

After all, I have never been able to become independent.

I was always being protected by someone else.

I remained a helpless and weak boy who couldn’t even help Gramps.

I needed to be smarter.

I should at least reach close to the level of Alicia and Duke.
